What is CrochetForChnge?
CrochetForChnge is a youth-owned and led nonprofit that focuses on bridging the gap between art and social justice. We provide a diverse network for youth to engage with advocacy and service work in different, more creative, capacities. We do this by:
selling products online and in person (markets, small business collaborations, etc) and donating all profits to charitable organizations ($2000+ so far!)
hosting programs for youth to learn about social justice and volunteer in the art realm
creating informational social media posts
collaborating with non profits and small businesses to host fundraiser events
teaching grant writing and youth organizing skills
What does being a team member for CrochetForChnge look like?
As a CrochetForChnge team member, you would work directly with co-chairs to help our non-profit operate. You will get opportunities and guidacne to build a diverse set of skills including product design, social media management/digital design, grant-writing, and program development.
CrochetForChnge is always looking to sponsor and promote youth success and growth, so we're always open to new ways for youth to challenge themselves and get involved! We value open communication, passion, creativity, and compassion.
What are we looking for?
ALL teens are allowed to apply!! We encourage everyone to get their voices heard and play a role in our organization. There is no baseline qualification, just passion!
Time Commitment
Biweekly team meetings to check-in. Most responsibilities can be completed on your own time (lots of asynchronous work and online communication via Slack or text).
